**ALL ABOUT AARÓN ÁLVAREZ**

Aarón Álvarez is a musician, actor, TV and radio host, and producer who began his career in the entertainment industry at a young age. His passion for the arts and music has been evident since he was a child when he organized shows on the porch of his house and performed for neighborhood kids and friends. After moving to New York City due to the Marxist Sandinista revolution in his native Nicaragua, Aarón became actively involved in the arts. He worked closely with the music department in his local elementary, junior high, and high schools.

His strong communication skills led Aarón to become a college radio producer and host on public radio before transitioning to commercial radio in NYC. He produced a weekly radio magazine show in the metropolitan area, and his unique charisma quickly caught the attention of Spanish commercial radio stations in New York City. He was hired to produce and host a weekly Top 10 pop rock Spanish music radio show and co-produce various music-related television shows in the region.

Aarón has continued to educate himself in music and the performing arts. He began studying music as a child and developed a love for the craft, influenced by his uncle, Mario Álvarez, who used to take him to his artistic activities. Mario performed in local schools, colleges, and theaters in Nicaragua as an actor and singer, imitating local and famous artists of his time. Aarón was captivated when he first saw video cameras while witnessing a live broadcast interview with his uncle at Radio Stereo Revolución, the first FM radio station in Nicaragua. Another significant influence was his grandfather, Carlos Arana, a creator of radio drama characters and co-producer of Nicaragua's most listened-to radio show, "Pancho Madrigal," along with Fabio Gadea Mantilla, the character's creator.

In 1979, following religious and political persecution in Nicaragua, Aarón's family sought refuge after his grandfather was killed, and his remains were never found. They ultimately received refugee status in the United States. Upon arriving in the U.S., Aarón continued his involvement in the arts and music departments at his local junior high and high schools. He excelled in the performing and linguistic arts and developed a passion for languages and speech; Spanish being his first language, he later learned English, Italian, Portuguese, and French, as well as some German and Hebrew, which he continues to study.

After graduating high school, Aarón pursued further education in music and dramatic arts. He studied for six years at the Julia De Burgos Cultural Center in Spanish Harlem, which offered dramatic arts studies for Latinos and local urban artists with low income in the tri-state area of New York City. He was also an active member of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. During his education, Aarón secured diplomas from various institutions, including Queensborough Community College, LaGuardia Community College, and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, in performing arts, TV, film, and music business production.

After his family moved to Miami, Aarón remained alone in New York City. During this period, he became involved in the Electronic Dance Music scene, gaining popularity in local clubs for his dance performances with friends while attending college. He later played with several local rock bands, performing cover songs in pubs to help pay for his rent and educational expenses. Eventually, he co-founded one of New York City's most popular Latin Alternative Rock bands, "Espuelas De Bronce," which allowed him to tour the U.S., Europe, and Latin America with other famous artists, significantly contributing to his artistic career.

Aarón Álvarez's college years and exceptional speaking skills helped him launch a college radio music show called "The New Alternative." Through this platform, he had the opportunity to interview local talents in New York City and artists from the underground movement who conveyed positive messages and independent political views to educate and engage young Latino listeners, particularly those new to the U.S. Soon after, AARÓN ÁLVAREZ attracted the attention of the New York City syndicated nonprofit public radio network Pacifica Radio WBAI 99.5 FM, which invited him to bring his radio show to its network. Here, he developed his unique and candid interview style with celebrities, including actors, politicians, and mainstream and underground artists, from Ricky Martin to Shakira, as well as independent filmmakers like Pedro Almodóvar.

His extensive knowledge, natural public relations skills, and charismatic personality led to AARÓN ÁLVAREZ being contracted by executives at Sony Music International—friends James Welzer, Pedro Biaggi, Victor Colon, Jeff Young, and Carlos Perez. He subsequently worked in the promotions, marketing, and sales department at Sony Music, paving the way for new opportunities at major music labels such as Universal Music, Warner Music (U.S. & Spain), BMG U.S. Latin, EMI Capitol, and various independent labels.

AARÓN ÁLVAREZ has contributed to the success of numerous artists, including Calle 13, Café Tacuba, Maná, Shakira, La Ley, Miguel Bosé, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Alexis y Fido, La 5ta Estación, and various urban artists like Zion & Lennox. He has also worked with tropical artists such as Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, La India, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, Juanes, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Ednita Nazario, Jorge Celedón, and many others from mainstream and independent labels. In his early years, as a determined musician and actor, AARÓN ÁLVAREZ forged friendships with local neighbors, including co-workers of actor Peter Facinelli, known for his roles in films like "Can't Hardly Wait" and the "Twilight" series, as well as the TV series "Nurse Jackie" and "Fastlane." At the start of his film career, AARÓN participated as a background actor, stand-in, and body double in various films, including "Down to Earth" with Chris Rock, "Carlito's Way" with Al Pacino and Sean Penn, and TV series like "OZ" on HBO, "Law & Order," "Sex and the City," among others.

After a successful twelve-year career in the Latin music scene at Sony Music, AARÓN ÁLVAREZ relocated to the Atlanta, Georgia region to pursue his acting and film career. He continues to follow his passion and dreams of working with actors who have inspired him, such as Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, Gal Gadot, Lior Raz, Itzik Cohen, Neta Garty, Mario Moreno (Cantinflas), Ousmane Sembène, Alfred Hitchcock, Denzel Washington, Liam Neeson, Michelle Jenner (from "Isabel La Católica"), Rodolfo Sancho, Sergei Eisenstein, Jean Cocteau, and directors like Pedro Almodóvar, Bigas Luna, Yagmur, and Durul Taylan from Turkey, Steven Spielberg, Tyler Perry, Spike Lee, Rene Perez, Residente, Calle 13, Amos Gitai, Robert Bresson, and Ingmar Bergman.

Throughout his journey, AARÓN ÁLVAREZ has been significantly influenced by these figures. He has traveled between Atlanta, NYC, LA, and Miami, contributing to various film projects in the Atlanta area. He is furthering his education at the Los Angeles Film School and the Georgia Film Academy. AARÓN believes that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. Where there is passion, there is purpose, and there are no limits to what you can achieve!
